I have an Asus N66u router and I want to be able to leave say a 2TB external hard drive plugged into the USB port on the router. I would then download things directly onto that HD and stream via Plex to my PS4. I was able to make it work on my netgear r7000. I was at first port forwarding to 32400, but that would not work. So then I disabled the port forwarding and tried port triggering to 32400 TCP. After I changed the settings I rebooted my router and it worked. Now I can stream Plex from my PC.

My PleX server's remote access has been on and off lately, which is preventing me and others from accessing it outside of our home. I checked the logs from the g3100 router and I found: dnsmasq warning [SYS.4][SYS] possible DNS-rebind attack detected: 192-168-1-242.xxxxxxx.plex.direct

To do this go on the amplifi app and look at the IP address of the amplifi router, then put this address in the DMZ on the old router config settings. it is caused by plex thinking that the "outside" is your old router. so it gets stuck in something called a double NAT. this should then allow the amplifi router to bypass the old router.
